Released in April 2019, the Contender Statue is the mid-tier offering in the Clan War League decoration series. It requires the player's clan to reach Crystal League I and costs 500 League Medals. While more attainable than the Master or Champion statues, it still represents a notable achievement, as Crystal I is where many active and competent clans reside. The statue depicts a warrior in a more defensive, ready stance, signifying a clan that is 'becoming a force to be reckoned with.' The design is sleek and metallic, though it lacks the golden opulence of the higher-tier statues. Community perception of the Contender Statue is that it is the most 'practical' of the CWL decorations for average players; 500 medals is a manageable amount to save without sacrificing too much laboratory or building progress. It is often the first statue players buy to start their 'League Gallery.' Despite being the third tier, it is still relatively rare in lower-level or casual bases because of the Medal cost. It fits perfectly into bases that have a silver or blue color scheme, such as those using the Town Hall 12 or 13 themes. Like all CWL statues, it is a 2x2 item that can be placed in either the Home Village or the Builder Base, though it is most commonly seen in the Home Village near the Town Hall. It remains permanently available for purchase as long as the rank requirement is met, making it a reliable goal for growing clans. It serves as a visual reminder of the transition from casual play to more serious, organized clan wars.
