Ore Farming Guide for F2P Players

Equipment

Equipment is a wearable or abilities for heroes that changes their stats and ability when in battle. It was first announced in December 2023 which split the previous hero abilities that automatically upgraded every 5 hero levels into two different equipment for each hero and leveling them up based on hero levels. Now those equipment remain as common equipment and many other common and epic equipment have been introduced in the game since.

The new method for upgrading the equipment is through the blacksmith building using ORES.

Ores

Ores are three currencies in the Home Village, obtained once the player is at least Level 8 and has built the Blacksmith Building. They are divided into three types: Shiny Ore, Glowy Ore, and Starry Ore.

Farming Ores

There are several ways to earn Ore, and I will share some tips through which you can maximize your ore income.

Star Bonus

Completing the Star Bonus while in Skeleton League or higher earns all Shiny, Glowy, and Starry Ore as rewards. Since the April 2024 update, multipliers on Star Bonuses will also affect Ore rewards which can really help with gaining extra ores.

I recommend aiming to reach the highest league possible where you can still reliably keep all your builders busy. If you struggle to gather resources for base upgrades because you are in too high a league, it is better to drop down, as keeping your builders active is your most valuable resource. For higher town halls Electro 31-33 gives the best balance between ores and other resources.

Consider pushing to at least Electro 31 since you get 2 Starry Ore as Star Bonus.

Tip: You can stack your star bonus one day prior to events like 2x Star Bonus to maximize ore gain.

Clan Wars

Participate in wars non-stop. There is no penalty for losing, as you still receive some ores, making participation a no-brainer.

Scoring at least one star on the war attack gets you the full amount of Ore available from the enemy base to the player's war win bonus. Otherwise, an amount proportional to the percentage dealt in the attack is added instead.

To maximize ore earnings, players should attack Town Hall 10 or higher bases, as Starry Ores are only awarded against these levels. The War Bonus Extra Loot clan perk does not increase ore rewards.

Tip: If you are in a clan war that you are guaranteed to win, and you have the patience, wait until later in the war to attack the highest-level bases available to maximize your ore payout.

Raid Medal Shop

You should most definitely always buy ore from the raid medal shop. You can roughly get about 1500 - 1600 Raid Medals if your clan has maxed clan capital. You can spend this on buying Starry Ores, Glowy Ores and Hero Potions if your hero levels are low. Prioritize buying Starry Ores over every other item in the Shop.

The trader also gives 10 Glowy Ores for free each time the trader shop is refreshed which happens once every week.

Additional Methods

• Medal events: where you can buy Equipment for 3100 medals. Keep the rest of the medals until the end of the event since Supercell usually gives free medals and buy ores using it.
• Chests: can also give you ores. They are unreliable but one of the ways to earn ores since it is obtained for free through the Silver Pass.
• Gems: can also be used to purchase ores but doesn't provide much value like other gem spending methods.

Maximum Ore potential

If you stay in Electro 31, win every war and buy Glowy and Starry Ores from the trader every week:

Total: 69,100 Shiny, 3,470 Glowy, 280 Starry per month can be earned with consistent farming only.
