Cookie Policy

Effective Date: August 2, 2026 | Last Updated: August 2, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Village Vault ("we", "our", or "us"), operated by Sabin Adhikari, uses cookies, browser Local Storage, and similar web technologies on https://www.clashofclansvault.win. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device by websites that you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide analytical information to site operators.

Local Storage (HTML5 Web Storage): Local Storage is a browser feature that allows websites to store key-value data locally within your browser. Unlike traditional cookies, data stored in Local Storage remains on your device until manually cleared or programmatically removed, and is not transmitted with every HTTP request header.

2. How Village Vault Uses Local Storage

Village Vault does not use user registration, accounts, or login passwords. Instead, we use your browser's Local Storage as our primary technology to deliver tracking features locally:

  • Tracker Progress: Saving your active Clash of Clans Player Tag, hero skin completion rates, equipment levels, decoration inventory, and obstacle counts.
  • Application Settings: Remembering active view filters, sorting choices, and user preferences across browsing sessions.
  • Anonymous Client Identifier: Storing a unique, non-personally identifiable string (e.g., village_vault_client_id) to manage local dataset updates without requiring logins.

Data stored in Local Storage remains strictly on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser's privacy settings.

3. Categories of Cookies & Technologies

We classify the storage technologies on Village Vault into the following categories:

CategoryTechnology UsedPurpose
Strictly NecessaryLocal Storage / Infrastructure CookiesRequired for core website operations, security (Cloudflare WAF), CDN routing, and saving your tracker data locally.
Performance & AnalyticsGoogle Analytics, Vercel Analytics, Cloud UmamiCollects aggregate, non-identifiable usage statistics (page load speed, popular guides, country region) to optimize site performance.
Functional StorageBrowser Local StorageRemembers your active filters, collection checkboxes, and customized interface settings.
Future AdvertisingThird-Party Ad Cookies / Pixels (Future Integration)Prepared for future digital advertising partners (such as Mediavine or Google) to measure ad performance and prevent fraud.

4. Third-Party Analytics & Infrastructure Technologies

Our trusted third-party service providers may deploy cookies or browser telemetry to perform specialized functions:

  • Cloudflare: May set security cookies (such as __cf_bm) to identify bot traffic, prevent Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, and secure connection integrity.
  • Vercel Analytics: Measures real user performance (Web Vitals) to optimize page load speeds across global edge servers.
  • Google Analytics: Uses first-party cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to analyze aggregated traffic metrics.
  • Cloud Umami: Provides lightweight, privacy-focused open-source website analytics without cross-site tracking.

5. Future Advertising & Mediavine Compatibility

Current Ad Status: Village Vault currently does not serve third-party banner advertisements.

Future Advertising Preparedness: To support website maintenance and guide creation, Village Vault may in the future partner with third-party digital advertising providers, such as **Mediavine**, Google AdSense, or premium ad exchanges.

When advertising partners are integrated:

  • Ad networks may use cookies, device fingerprints, and local storage to personalize ads, count impressions, and detect ad fraud.
  • Users in jurisdictions requiring explicit consent (such as the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and California) will be presented with a **Consent Management Platform (CMP)** banner enabling granular cookie consent management.

6. How to Control and Delete Cookies & Local Storage

You can control, manage, or delete cookies and browser storage at any time through your browser settings:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies / Site data.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Options > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data.
  • Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Prevent cross-site tracking / Manage Website Data.
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data.

Note: Clearing your browser's Local Storage will reset your locally saved tracker progress on Village Vault. You can re-import your tracker data at any time by uploading your Clash of Clans JSON export again.

7. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or new service integrations. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
