Huge Changes Coming to the Clash of Clans Gold Pass!
Supercell is completely revamping the Gold Pass starting March 1st. While the price remains exactly the same at $6.99, the progression layout and reward systems have been rebuilt from the ground up.
These changes represent the biggest update to the Gold Pass since its introduction, bringing more flexibility, better catch-up mechanics, and exciting new features like The Prospector helper. Here's everything you need to know:
1. Daily Tasks & Stamp Cards
Simple Tasks
The frustrating specific-troop challenges are gone. You now get 8 simple daily tasks focused on normal gameplay, such as:
- Win a multiplayer battle
- Donate troops to clanmates
- Complete a Clan Capital raid
- Train troops or spells
No Falling Behind
Cards stack! If you miss logging in for a few days, your task cards will be waiting for you. This means you can easily catch up without losing progress, making the Gold Pass much more friendly for players who can't log in every single day.
2. Choice Nodes
At specific milestones on the Gold Pass track, you can now choose your preferred rewards instead of receiving predetermined ones.
Choice Options Include:
- Hero Skins: Pick between the current season's exclusive skin or a classic skin from previous seasons
- Resources: Choose between a Rune of Gold or a Rune of Elixir based on your upgrade needs
- Magic Items: Select between two different Magic Books (e.g., Book of Building vs Book of Heroes)
This customization ensures you get rewards that actually matter for your progression, not just generic items.
3. The Hoggy Bank
The Hoggy Bank replaces the old Season Bank with a major improvement: it starts at maximum capacity immediately—no more unlocking size upgrades or multipliers throughout the month.
Max Payouts
Free Silver Track: Up to 8 million Gold and 8 million Elixir
Gold Pass: Up to a massive 40 million Gold and 40 million Elixir
Note: Payout limits scale based on your Town Hall level
This change means you get full value from day one of the season, rather than waiting weeks to unlock the bank's full potential.
4. Silver Track Chests
On the free Silver track, most guaranteed potions are being replaced by Chests with random rewards.
What This Means for F2P Players
While this introduces RNG (random chance), it also gives free-to-play players an opportunity to unlock premium items that were previously Gold Pass exclusive:
- Ores (for Equipment upgrades)
- Magic Books
- Cosmetics and decorations
- Resource rewards
The trade-off is less predictability, but with potential for much higher value rewards if you get lucky.
5. Meet The Prospector (TH10+)
A brand new Village Helper is unlocked at 2,400 Season Points on the Gold Pass track.
What Does The Prospector Do?
Ore Conversion: The Prospector allows you to convert one type of Ore into another every 23 hours.
This is a game-changer for Equipment upgrades, as you can now balance your Ore stockpile to match your upgrade priorities rather than relying purely on RNG drops.
Note: Players below TH10 will receive a Resource Potion instead, since Ores are not yet relevant at lower Town Hall levels.
6. Massive Quality of Life Updates
1-Gem Self Donations
The 1-gem donation perk can finally be used to fill your own Clan Castle! This is a massive convenience for solo players or those in smaller clans.
More Shovels
You can now earn up to three Shovels of Obstacles in the Gold Pass, giving collectors even more flexibility to arrange their villages.
Magic Items Overflow Fix
If your Magic Item storage is full, you can now immediately use a newly earned Magic Item straight from the reward track without having to navigate through multiple menus. No more missing out on rewards due to full storage!
